Are you passionate about libraries? Are you interested in being a leader in your profession? If so, then consider getting more involved with your provincial association.
The Manitoba Library Association has been serving and promoting Manitoban libraries for more than 75 years.
The association relies on the activities of its executive board and committees to provide information, support and networking for libraries in Manitoba. The board is made up of volunteers from all types of libraries.
We are starting a new fiscal year in June and are actively recruiting volunteers to fill the following positions on the board for June 1st 2014-May 31, 2015.
- Vice President
- Advocacy Director
- Conference Director
- Fund Development Director
- Indigenous Interest Group Chair
- Membership Director
- Director’s at large
The Vice President role is a 3 year term which includes vice president, president and past-president.
All director roles (except for director’s at large) are 2 year terms and the Directors at large are 1 year terms.
Board position descriptions are available here. If you are interested in getting more information, please join us for our upcoming AGM on May 12th at the Delta Hotel. By attending the AGM you can get a sense of what the association does and get additional information from the current board.
