IISD Research Library

The International Institute for Sustainable Development Research Library (ic.iisd.org) manages both a print and electronic collection, which is accessed through the library on-line database - SD-Cite ( sd-cite.iisd.org ). This database of over 45,000 records was recently converted into Koha software, resulting in the need to clean-up many records.
We are looking for a qualified librarian or library technician to identify and change these records. You will need to work independently and will report to IISD's cataloguer.
Contract length: 4 months
Rate of pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications
Qualifications
- Master of Library Science or Library Technician diploma
- Familiarity with MARC records and ability to do MARC cataloguing
- Familiarity with integrated library software
- Ability to work accurately and independently
The International Institute for Sustainable Development is a Canadian-based not-for-profit organization with offices in Winnipeg, Ottawa, Geneva and New York and a diverse team of more than 150 people located in more than 30 countries. The IISD Research library, located at IISD's headquarters in Winnipeg and on the World Wide Web, provides services to all IISD offices, employees and associates regardless of location. The library operates in a mainly virtual, distributed manner.
