Qualifications:
The Legislative Library seeks a service-oriented librarian to catalogue Manitoba Heritage and history publications. The successful candidate will have a MLS/MLIS degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or acceptable equivalent combination of formal education and relevant experience. Recent cataloguing experience in an integrated library system environment is required. Desirable experience or knowledge in other library operations, ability with MS Office tools, ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative team environment, ability to plan and organize work effectively and meet deadlines.

Duties:
Reporting to the Head, Government Publications and Library Systems, the Cataloguing Librarian is responsible for original and derived cataloguing in the Library's integrated system for Manitoba heritage and historical publications. The incumbent organizes and catalogues Manitoba publications and creates bibliographical records according to established library standards for bibliographical control and description in the Library's online catalogue.
