Parkland Regional Library invites applications for the position of Director.

Parkland Library, headquartered in Dauphin, serves a population of 37,000 in 36 municipalities in west central Manitoba. With an operating budget of $900,000 service is provided through 20 branches and a bookmobile.

The Director is the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the overall operation of the regional library including:

• planning
• policy development
• program delivery
• personnel management
• budget preparation and administration

Qualified candidates will have an MLS plus administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  The candidate will also have organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience with, and an understanding of, technology applications in a public library are essential.
