Qualifications:
Communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. A Masters of Archival Studies or equivalent is preferred. Six years of records administration, archival material collections, library, history-related or other related experience to obtain skills necessary to acquire,organize, store and disseminate historically valuable university records. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement new programs and
services and demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative and integrated environment are required. High level of technical knowledge is required; database searching, the Internet, and knowledge of current technology and library trends are required. Promotion and marketing skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision. Mature, professional manner. Ability to coordinate the work of others and provide leadership. Ability to interact well with health care professionals.
*28 hrs/wk
Where a student is the successful candidate, the terms and conditions of employment, including remuneration, will be governed by the Teaching Assistant/Marking UM/CUPE 3909 Collective Agreement. Where an UMFA member is the successful candidate, the terms and conditions of employment, including remuneration, will be governed by the UM-UMFA Collective Agreement.
If the posted course is with Distance Education, the successful candidate who is a student will be a "Distance Education Instructor".
