The MLA Scholarships and Awards Committee would like to congratulate this year’s recipients of the Jean Thorunn Law and John Edwin Bissett Scholarships.

This year we had many qualified and outstanding applicants making the selection process difficult, yet inspiring, as we look forward to seeing so many intelligent and committed individuals soon join us as colleagues in the profession. The MLA is very pleased to be able assist those pursuing library science degrees by distributing more than $14,000 in scholarship funds to help defray the cost of tuition.
