Peer-to-Peer Mentorship

The Manitoba Library Association is happy to present a new Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program. Applications for the January-June 2026 Pilot Program are now closed.

Our goal is to offer connections and facilitate communication between our members to help them grow in their career.

Who can apply?
The program is open to all individual members of the Manitoba Library Association working in a library. If you are not already an individual member, you can register at this address:  https://mla.mb.ca/membership/
All types of professionals are welcomed: librarians, library technicians, managers, library assistants, directors. All types of libraries are welcomed: rural, academic, public.

How does it work?
We want to match individuals who think they have experience to share and want to learn new ways of doing.

We are proposing a Peer-to-Peer programming, where we want to connect library members with similar career experiences. You can exchange ideas and find support in your field. We want to match-up people based on their type of library, their experience and what they are
seeking.

Each pair will establish how often they will communicate, meeting at least once a month, and how they prefer to communicate.

Each participant may contact us at any time if they seek assistance: elise.a@mla.mb.ca
